HARDWARE
An espresso machine for formula. I made fun of it before becoming a parent; now I recommend it to everyone. It's the only device I've found that genuinely gives new parents time back.
In-bed heating and air conditioning. The thermal alarm wakes you by warming the bed, and the cooling is real — in a San Francisco apartment with no AC, that's life-changing. Sleep matters this much. I'd invest in it.
Tactile Turn Slim Bolt Action Pen
My everyday-carry pen. Machined metal, a deeply satisfying bolt action, exactly the right weight. If you want one great pen, this is it.
A minimal e-ink notebook: no apps, just notes. Feels like paper, the battery runs for weeks, and the cover is genuinely excellent. Expensive — and worth it for capturing notes on the fly.

The analog half of my everyday carry. Thin enough to always be with me, beautiful in indigo blue.
